Propagation
The Blue Coral, also call Blue Ridge Coral, is often mistaken for a small polyp stony (SPS) coral because it has a hard blue exoskeleton with long, thin polyps. It really is an octocoral (soft coral) and its growth forms are branching, plate-like, columnar, or encrusting.

It is an extremely fast growing coral. It will quickly encrust over anything in the aquarium. A good way to stop the encrusting growth is to add some agressive zooanthus around. The zooanthus actually burned back the tissues of the Heliopora as it will do with any other coral.
